
Urban Traveler and the Tribal Guide
My wife is the urban traveler here who was led by a tribal boy called Murali. He led us to a view point on one of the Nelliyampathy Hills from where we could have a view of Parambikulam Pollachi , Seetharkundu and so many other places. The journey uphill was around 4 kms which was never tiresome as it was early in the morning and the various wonderful fables told by Murali which included the experiences he had with wild animals and the tribal procedures of collecting honey from tall trees, kept us walking...
At the Summit!

A 4km trek uphill to a private viewpoint at our resort at Nelliyampathy, seemed tiresome in the beginning as it was very steep, but as the sheer beauty of Nature slowly unfolded before our very eyes, it became an extravaganza of visual treat, which seemed to pump enough adrenaline to take us to the summit. The sunrise along with the amazing cloud pattern at the summit closely resembled a Gateway to Heaven. The visual wonder which we witnessed is even beyond this picture captured by the camera...
